Kratos's Balcony
This scene is based on concept art from God of War 2. It was created using a variety of tools including 3DS Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, and is shown as it appears in the Unreal 3 Engine.
I chose the concept this scene is based on because I'm a fan of God of War and I really like the epic looking artwork that has come out of it. I wanted to make an ethereal looking environment and spent much time making sure the gold textures and shaders were just the right amount of shiny.
In total I spent around 19 hours on this scene, including modeling, unwrapping, zbrushing details, texturing, and setting up and lighting the scene. It is built up of 8,576 quads/18,026 tris.
